Ali, originally uploaded by therozblog.

I’m sooo sore today.

Yesterday marked my very first plyometrics/boxing class, and let me tell you Rozbloggists - my entire body is in protest. But it’s a good kind of revolution.

Ali is my Sunday muse.. snapped at Bloor Boxing in Roncesvalles, Toronto.

Bring it!

This Is Just Cool - TweetStats!

Happy Long Weekend Rozbloggists!

Just came across this neat piece of software through a tweet from my pal @embee. It’s a fun little app called TweetStats that allows you to see when, where and what you tweet, just by dropping in your Twitter username and hitting ‘ENTER’.

The coolest thing about TweetStats, though, is its abilty to generate a ‘TweetCloud’ that shows you what words you most send out into the world wide interwebs.

Kind of a half-page snapshot of your mental state over the duration of your Twitter addiction.

On a side note - @leanneallen and @wmacphail: you’ll be happy to see that “Mayer” is low on my list, relative to “LOLLL” and “awesome.” LOL! :)

Enjoy and happy T-Giv all!

Faceoff Against Cancer - For Chrissy

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Keri (L) & Chrissy (R)

Hey Rozbloggists!

We’ve always got time to support a great cause right? :)

A good friend of mine at MaRS, Keri Damen, is fundraising in honour of her late best friend Crystal, who passed away in December 2007 from a rare form of cancer - leaving behind her husband and nine month old daughter.

She was only 31.

Keri’s fundraiser ends tomorrow so time is short - show her some rozblog love and donate!! Even $5 would help Keri reach her goal of $1000 - of course all going towards cancer research through the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

For more information on Crystal Violante please check her blog at http://www.blog.loveforcrystal.com/

Good luck Keri!!!

Wow. Very excited to have had this photo of my beautiful boy shortlisted for the Schmap Guide to Vancouver. If you haven’t heard of these guys, check out what they’re doing.

From their site:

Schmap is a leading publisher of digital travel guides for 200 destinations throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The innovative technology behind Schmap Guides also lets end users publish their own ‘schmaps’ (to share trip itineraries, local reviews and more), and powers a popular range of Schmap Widgets, displaying maps with content and event schedules for travel, sports, concert tours and more on a fast-growing network of websites and blogs. Founded in 2004, Schmap is privately owned and based in Carrboro, North Carolina.

Nice! Thanks for the nod Schmap. And the fact that you picked a photo of Mr. P makes it all the more lovely. Merci.

Mr. P’s been gone just over a month now. A month!! Unbelievable. I’m trying to enjoy the quiet, and he’s having a hoot hanging with all our relatives in BC - but - I’m starting to miss him like crazy.

Hard to believe it’s only five weeks until school starts and the machine starts up all over again?? Better make like Depeche Mode and enjoy the silence.

In John’s Atmosphere

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Man, I can’t believe how amazing John Mayer’s new live CD/DVD is. I’ve been a fan since the beginning - gave “Room For Squares” so many spins I’m sure it almost melted in my player.

But his new compilation “Where The Light Is” is absolutely blowing my mind. The cinematography is stunning, and the music is achingly beautiful.

After checking a few clips of the film out on YouTube, I’m itching to grab the DVD, a new HD set, and a bottle of wine. Just dim the lights and curl up. :)
