Hey gang!

Very excited to premiere the debut episode of ‘That’s Not Debateable’ - an original online series produced by myself, Kirby Ferguson of Goodie Bag fame, and the always amazing Steve Patterson.

Check it out here, on the Debaters YouTube page, or our Facebook fan group - but most importantly - let me know what you think!

Cheers!

Hey gang!

So last Thursday I was thrilled to head over to the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto for the latest taping of my favourite radio show, ‘The Debaters’.. on CBC Radio One.

And just prior, I headed over to host Steve Patterson’s haunt and taught him how to video blog. The above vid is what happened. Check out The Debaters Facebook Group and follow our YouTube page here! Happy Monday!

Hey gang!

It’s not often you get to see a guy in a gorilla suit having an intelligent discussion about zoos. That said - the new video I produced for The Debaters is live at cbc.ca/entertainment. It was shot backstage during the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

Check it out at the official YouTube Debaters channel as well, or on the Debaters Facebook group!

Cover of new Vanity Fair issue - Photo by Annie Leibovitz

Fantastic article yesterday over at Salon.com’s Broadsheet, featuring the soon-to-be released ‘Who Says Women Aren’t Funny’ issue of Vanity Fair.

From Broadsheet:

The story, written by New York Times critic Alessandra Stanley, holds the lighter high for today’s female comedians, a group also including (in addition to those previously mentioned) Amy Sedaris, Lisa Lampanelli, Chelsea Handler and Kristin Wiig.

Besides all that - the photos are fabulous. Snapped by longtime Vanity Fair photog Annie Leibovitz - this is an issue that’s been a long time coming.
Buying my frame for the cover now. Can’t wait!

 Richard Side & I

Last week saw the final four tapings for CBC Radio’s hit comedy show, The Debaters - and I was thrilled to be invited (front row seat nonetheless!) to the final live show.

With top notch repartee from master debaters Ellie Harvey, Jeffrey Yu and Erica Sigurdson, traditionally touchy topics like evolution, prenuptial agreements and the Shaun Majumder & Imost sacred of all - hockey - made for some radical radio, folks.

Huge congrats go out to show creator Richard Side, Executive Producer Tod Elvidge, Producer Dagmar Kaffanke-Nunn,  and of course to the host-with-the-most Shaun Majumder for a fantastic run. Thanks so much for letting me be a part guys - and I hope to see you next season!!
